Photography Matters Ep 55 – I should’ve just gone to Lamps Plus, also Photos that Stay With You

December 18, 2018 by Ted

I know this shot is pretty dark, just wanted to show the actual lack of light we were shooting with. ๐Ÿ™‚

In a couple recent photo shoots I’ve found myself using a reading lamp as my key light source. It’s funny how, after spending thousands of dollars on “professional” lighting, I find myself preferring to use just common household lamps, reading lamps, that kind of thing. Also, I want to revisit the importance of studying the work of others; particularly the people who really inspire and motivate you. It’s powerful education and food for your photography and creativity.
